About This Role
The Design Operations Team at our client is charged with the smooth running of the Design organization. We handle the work around the work: process, tooling, workflows, contracts, budgets and resourcing, and all of the other overhead that is required for Design to succeed. We are curious and visionary when it comes to our craft. We are looking for a Senior Design Program Manager to elevate the successful execution of Strava’s Design programs. This position will have a broad reach and will require strong communication skills and experience to deftly engage with our partners across the product, brand, and research disciplines. From day one you will be embedded in multiple complex and highly integrated Design workstreams. Sitting between both brand and product you will support everything from events design, product GTMs, marketing comms, and fully integrated projects like our annual Year In Sport. You will need to hit the ground running, be comfortable with complexity, and possess a tenured ability to bring clarity and structure to projects to ensure Design track successfully to project milestones. You should be able to execute but also help build the big picture, clearly tracking resources, risk, and priorities and have a strong ability to communicate these to relevant stakeholders.

What You’ll Do
-Manage timelines and resources and keep Design team members on track and motivated to meet deadlines and milestones.
– Monitor and communicate changes in project scope or execution to project leads
-Organizing and supporting project meetings, follow-up or progress meetings, and working sessions.
– Own project communication to make sure stakeholders and team members are informed and aligned, including distributing notes and next steps.
– Translate and distill information from individual teams and ensure a shared understanding of action items.
– Work with cross-functional leadership team to develop best practice processes and ways of working
– Contributing to a collaborative ethos that fosters accountability and trust
– Keeping all project assets organized and documented
– Evaluate, track, and manage project risks
What we’re looking for
– 5+ years of Design Program Management experience.
– Deep Understanding of brand, marketing, and product design project life cycles
– Capacity to ask questions, synthesize critical information, put ideas into action, and
share learnings
– Ability to manage multiple initiatives and portfolios of work
– Experience facilitating diverse stakeholder group input
– Eagerness for new challenges, a growth-oriented mindset, and a knack for managing
ambiguity.
– Experience in a digital startup environment
-Proven track record of working within and building design programs
-Strong ability in Asnana, Airtable,and Jira.
-Formalized project management certification, PMP , IMPA, PRINCE2, and SCRUM are also an advantage.
